Xeomin – A powerful, wrinkle eliminating cosmetic toxin

Xeomin is a cosmetic neurotoxin that treats facial wrinkles and creases around the eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth and chin. It is similar in performance to other neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport.

Xeomin VS. Botox: what is the difference?

While Xeomin and Botox are both cosmetic neurotoxins that treat facial lines and wrinkles, you may notice a slight difference in performance. Since Xeomin is not preserved in a protein that gradually breaks down once introduced into the body via injection, the results can be immediate. This can be both a positive and a negative. Some patients like that they see immediate results, but on the other hand, others do not like that they don’t have time to “grow into” the results. One important note about Xeomin: Because it lacks a surrounding protein, it is nearly impossible to experience an allergic reaction or be immune to its effects.

How does Xeomin work?

Xeomin works the same way Botox works. It blocks the nerve endings in the muscles from receiving messages for movement, thus eliminating lines and creases.

What comprises Xeomin?

Xeomin is a prescriptive injectable called incobotulinumtoxin A. In the world of medicine, we simply call it a neurotoxin.

Which neurotoxin is right for you – Botox, Dysport or Xeomin?

The only way to know that for sure is to try them all for yourself. It’s been our experience that personal preference is the biggest deciding factor here. We have some patients who have no personal preference at all. We have others that want only Botox, Dysport or Xeomin.
