Fractora

The radiofrequency energy emitted by fractora is bipolar, hence it is gentle, yet effective stimulation of collagen and elastin. The needles derive the energy at various depths, which are controlled by your medical provider. This type of customized skin treatment is known as a “designer dermis” treatment.

Since the needles of the fractora hand piece are spaced apart, only a fraction of the skin is treated with each pulse. By doing this we avoid total ablation of your skin, and in turn minimize any down time or healing time.

To alleviate discomfort a numbing cream is applied on your skin about 30 minutes prior to treatment. Simple over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen may also help. In rare situations a mild sedative can be used to alleviate anxiety during the treatment.

The most common fractora treatment areas are:

• wrinkles of the face, neck and decolletage
• vertical lines and wrinkles off the lower eyelids
• drooping eyebrows
• horizontal wrinkles of the forehead
• frown lines.
• crepey skin of the neck area

Sometimes the results are seen immediately, however mostly initial results will be seen three weeks following initial treatment and the ultimate results three months after treatment. Many of our patients continue to see improvement up to nine months after treatment.

The number of required sessions of fractora skin depends on the extent of the sun damage, the quantity of your skin and its response to the skin tightening effect of the radiofrequency energy delivered via the microneedles.

Since the downtime of fractora is minimal,  you may shower normally the next day and apply your makeup makeup usually two days later. We recommend using a brand new package of our mineral treatment makeup for the first few days, not old makeup that may be contaminated because of repeated use.

Yes, fractora  treatments can be done in conjunction with injectables, such as botox, juvederm and voluma, for a more profound results.
